Geophysical Metadata Log Template

Recording all operational, data storage and data processing procedures is a fundamental component of any geophysical report. Without concise accurate notes which outline said procedures, it can be exceedingly difficult to understand and evaluate the results of a geophysical survey. The Geophysics Metadata Log provides a simple structure for recording survey metadata.

The template is designed around the Archaeological Data Service (ADS) guides to good practice and the OASIS Data entry form for Geophysics, however the content of the template is relevant to all geophysical applications. It is suggested that the Geophysics Metadata Log can be saved within the digital archive as well as incorporated as an appendix to a geophysical report.
